Marking Passages, Preserving the Past : Throwback Thursdays is Back!

Greetings, Everyone! I hope you all are enjoying your summer break. After a bit of a hiatus, we are back! The Archives is in the midst of Accession right now, as thousands of photos, documents, letters, newspapers and school records of various sorts are being officially logged in and brought in as part of the University of New Hampshire School of Law Archives. We are excited to have reached this next phase of our existence! Below are some very interesting and revealing photos pertaining to an article about how our present building came to be. It is from a Concord Monitor article dated March 27, 1940, and it details United Life and Accident Insurance Co.'s acquisition of the Durgin Silver Factory property and the proposed demolition of the old property to make way for the new (and present) building. You might have to CTRL-+ your screen a bit to read the fine print, but it should be legible.  Enjoy . . .
