CCH Intelliconnect Interface in a Nutshell

CCH IntelliConnect - New format for many PierceLaw IP and Tax databases!
CCH has developed a great new platform for accessing their print resources online. These resources include the Copyright Law Reporter, IP Library, Tax Research Network, Trademark Law Guide, and Kluwer Arbitration. All of these resources can be accessed both on and off campus from the library's Quickclicks page.
Navigating the new platform can be a little tricky the first time. CCH has created some video tutorials:
A quick introduction to Intelliconnect. Ignore the infomercial style.
Additional videos are available here.
The biggest change in Intelliconnect is that the default search is modeled after Google – searching for say “501(c)(3)” searches across all Intelliconnect products. However you can still narrow your search by using the menu on the left side of the screen:
I accessed these menus using “Browse” and narrowed the menus by topic. Now when I check a section and click “Search” I am only searching in a specific database.
CCH has promised to make the interface better. If you have any questions on using Intelliconnect please don’t hesitate to email themstock@piercelaw.edu.
(The funky design on my Firefox browswer is courtesy of the Persona add on. Research can sometimes be dull but no need for your browswer to be dull as well.)
