Reference Services

Public service staff members provide reference service designed to aid patrons in the use of the collection, not to assist in the interpretation or application of the law. Reference service is free to UNH School of Law library patrons. Available times:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 P.M.

Phone (603) 228-1541during the above hours and ask for:

Membership Fees - Alumni

Alumni/ae membership rates are scaled after the first year. All graduates of UNH School of Law are offered free membership for the first year following graduation. Five years after graduation alumni/ae are charged the sole practitioner fee, currently $240 per year. Alumni/ae may purchase individual memberships even if they work in a law firm.

Interlibrary Loan Services

Interlibrary loan is a cooperative arrangement with other libraries that enables us to make available to you items not in the Law Library collection. Once a request for material is received, a search is conducted to find the nearest participating library with the item.

Interlibrary loan privileges are extended to current students, faculty, and staff.

Attorney Member Services

The Library at the University of New Hampshire School of Law offers access to attorneys and practicing paralegals in exchange for an annual, modest fee.  Benefits of membership include borrowing privileges, document delivery service, and free scanning in addition to access to the law library.

For more information contact Kathy Fletcher, attorney membership coordinator.
